Latest EU Domain News click here
The .eu domain is to be launched on December 7th 2005 and RegisterMyDomain is now an officially accredited registrar. We are accredited by Eurid (the .eu naming authority) and will shortly be ready to accept pre-registrations which will be submitted to the Eurid registry in the date and time order that they were received. Please note only accredited registrars are allowed to accept pre-registration submission requests. Beware of Non-Accredited Companies or Persons purporting to be allowed to accept registrations.
For each pre-registration that we queue up and timestamp in our database ready to submit upon commencement of each Sunrise 1 + 2 phases and phase 3 Landrush, we will charge a pre-registering administration fee. This is a non-refundable administration fee payable whether you are successful in your application or not. Please see our fee structure below and please note that these are subject to change (except in the case that you have paid for your pre-registration request).
We will make every reasonable commercial endeavour to ensure that each pre-registration request received is processed to final registration at the earliest opportunity. Please note that you are not guaranteed to get your requested domain(s) if there have been other applications for the same name(s). The pre-registration administration/validation fees for Sunrise 1 and Sunrise two applications are partly refundable in the event that an application is unsuccessful. Once Landrush is over and domains are searched and registered “live”, if they are not available when you do your search on our site then you will not be able to register them, and as such there will be no pre-registering fees Applicants will need to agree in full to Eurid’s terms and conditions and also RegisterMyDomain’s terms and conditions before proceeding to a pre-registration request or a registration.
Eurid (the newly formed Eu Domain Naming Authority have advised that there will be two phases in the allocation of domain names prior to the registry becoming fully open for public registrations. These two initial phases are to protect intellectual property rights in brands, products and services in phase 1 and 2 and the these phases will be followed by a public launch, Landrush phase 3 in early 2006 when anyone (subject to the terms and conditions of eu domain ownership) may apply for an Eu domain.
The sunrise period consists of two phases each lasting two months. Immediately after the 4-month sunrise period is over, registrations will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.

may be applied for by the public body or holder/licensee of the trademark
